Liqaa Maki Al Azzawi

Professor of Mass Communications, Senior Researcher at Al Jazeera Centre for Studies, Professor of Journalism and Chair of the Department of Mass Communications at the University of Baghdad, Visiting Professor at the University of Aden and Associate Professor at Qatar University. He previously served as executive news producer at Al Jazeera Channel/Al Jazeera Net and a journalist and field correspondent for Iraqi and international newspapers and stations in Baghdad from 1980.

Fatima Alsmadi

Senior Researcher at Al Jazeera Centre for Studies where she supervises Iranian, Turkish and Central Asian studies. She is also a professor specialising in Iranian affairs and served in numerous Jordanian universities. Alsmadi has a PhD in social sciences from Allameh Tabataba’i University. She has published various books and research on Iranian affairs, including: “Political Currents in Iran: The Clash of Clerics and Politicians”, “Iranian-US Rapprochement: The Future of the Iranian Role”, “Iran and the Arab Elite: An Opinion Poll on the Attitudes of the Arab Elite towards Iran and the Future of Arab-Iranian Relations”, and “The Orientations of Iranian Foreign Policy after the Nuclear Deal: Priorities and Roles [A Content Analysis Study]”.
